The database on black poplar (Populus nigra) clones is maintained by the CRA Unità di Ricerca per le Produzioni Legnose Fuori Foresta (Research Unit for Wood Production Outside Forests) (previously Istituto di Sperimentazione per la Pioppicoltura) located in Casale Monferrato, Italy. The database on white poplar (P. alba) clones is maintained by Centro de Investigación Forestal-Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Agrarias (CIFOR – INIA) in Marid, Spain.\
Countries have been given a password for an on-line access to update their data on national clone collections. Passport data for each clone is provided with according to the data compilation rules. If a new country wishes to enter information into the databases, they should contact the database manager at CRA-PLF (for black poplar clones) or CIFOR-INIA (for white poplar clones).
