Publication

This document includes summaries for both the sixth and seventh meeting of the Conifers Network. The sixth meeting was held on 9-11 June 2002 in Alter do Chão, Portugal and the seventh meeting was held on 22-24 April 2004 in Arezzo, Italy. The participants received updates on the status and practice of gene conservation in member countries as well as on related projects and other initiatives. The summary contains thematic chapters on i) research updates on noble hardwoods and ii) seminar papers and presentations on genetic conservation, tree breeding and utilization of noble hardwoods.
