Information session on the outcomes of the Twentieth Regular Session of the Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture

The Twentieth Regular Session of the Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture was held from 24 to 28 March 2025. The event brought together over 260 participants from 90 countries, including scientists and policy experts, international organizations, and observers from Indigenous Peoples’ networks, civil society and other stakeholders.
The Commission emphasised the importance of integrating genetic diversity considerations into national policies and global frameworks to ensure food security and ecosystem resilience. The meeting also underscored the importance of international collaboration and partnerships in addressing global challenges related to genetic resources for food and agriculture.
An online information session will be convened on 26 June 2025, 09:00–11:00 CEST.
The webinar aims to:
- share key outcomes from the Twentieth Regular Session of the Commission; and
- support follow-up action at national level.
Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in all official FAO languages.
