The webinar “Let’s Talk About Planted Forests” will take place on 22 May 2025 at 09:30 CEST. It is organised by the Institut Européen de la Forêt Cultivée (IEFC) and the new Task Force on Stand Complexity in Planted Forests, in collaboration with IUFRO Research Unit 1.03.00, Short-Rotation Forestry (SRF).
The session will focus on Genetic Resources and Complexity in Short-Rotation Forestry, featuring case studies and expert insights from New Zealand, Portugal and South Africa. Participants will have the opportunity to explore how genetic diversity is managed in planted forests under short-rotation systems, a topic of growing importance in forest research and practice.
The event will also include time for open discussion with the speakers, allowing for informal exchange and questions from attendees.
