EVOLTREE–FORGENIUS Joint Conference in November 2025
Join global experts in Madrid, 18–21 November 2025, to explore forest biodiversity, genomics, and climate resilience at the EVOLTREE–FORGENIUS Joint Conference.
Leading researchers, conservationists, and policy-makers will converge in Madrid this November for the EVOLTREE–FORGENIUS Joint Conference 2025, an international event focused on forest biodiversity, genomics, and adaptation in the face of global change.
Taking place from 18 to 21 November 2025, the conference will combine the Third EVOLTREE Conference with the Final FORGENIUS Conference, creating a unique opportunity for cross-sector collaboration on the future of forest ecosystems.
Under the theme “Integrative Diversity of Forest Ecosystems”, the event aims to spotlight the importance of interdisciplinary approaches in strengthening the resilience of forests against climate pressures, pests, diseases, and other environmental threats. The programme will feature five main thematic sessions:
-
Bridging science, policy, and practice
-
Forest resilience to climate, pests and pathogens
-
Phenotypic variability in a changing world
-
Genomic tools for breeding and adaptation
-
Conservation through genetic diversity
Abstract submissions are now open, with a deadline of 30 June 2025. Submissions should relate to one of the session themes and must include a description of the study’s aims, methods, and key findings in no more than 250 words.
Registration deadlines:
-
Early Bird Registration: Register by 30 June, with payment due by 30 July
-
Late Registration: Register by 15 August, with payment due by 19 September
